How to get Trophist running and what everything in it does.
Install and uninstall
You need Windows 10 or 11 (with Microsoft Edge WebView2, which is part of current Windows) and the Steam client running and signed in.
- Download the latest
Trophist.exefrom trophist.com. It’s a single file, nothing to unpack. - Run it. Trophist asks Install Trophist on this computer? and, once you confirm, installs itself to
%LocalAppData%\Programs\Trophistwith shortcuts in the Start menu and on the desktop. No admin rights are needed.
The very first start reads all your games from Steam, which takes a few seconds.
To uninstall, go to Windows Settings → Apps.
Library
The library shows the games you own as a shelf of covers. Every game is a tilted sticker with a progress ring; finished games get a Platinum label.
On the left you can switch between all games, installed, not complete and completed, and open your favorites and recently played games. Above the covers you can sort the games. Press Ctrl+K to search.
Game page and sticker album
Open a game to see all its achievements. In the album, unlocked achievements are stuck in with a white border, rare and ultra rare ones get a colored border, and locked ones stay as dashed empty slots. The buttons next to the filters switch between the album and a classic list.
Every achievement shows its rarity (the share of players who have it) and when you unlocked it. Filters show all, locked, unlocked or hidden achievements.
Until you start the game in Trophist, the page is a preview from Steam’s cache, which may be out of date.
Editing achievements
Press Start game on a game page. While the game runs in Trophist you can unlock or lock single achievements, or use Unlock all, Lock all and Invert.
Nothing is written to Steam until you press Commit. Until then you can Discard the changes. In the settings you can have Trophist ask before every write.
You can run several games at once; each keeps its own unsaved changes. When you’re done, close the game in the sidebar.
Some achievements are protected: only the game’s server can change them, so Trophist can’t either.
Statistics
The statistics page shows how many achievements you’ve unlocked in total and this year, your best day, your longest streak of days in a row and a calendar of unlocks over the past year. It also lists the games just short of Platinum, your latest Platinums and your rarest catches: achievements that fewer than 10% of players have.
Bulk unlocks don’t count towards your streak.
Language and updates
Trophist is in English and Czech; pick the language in the settings. Achievement names and descriptions appear in the game’s language when the game includes it.
When it starts, Trophist checks for a new version and installs only signed releases. You can turn the automatic check off in the settings.
Troubleshooting
“Steam isn’t running”
Trophist works through the Steam client. Start Steam, sign in, then try again.
Windows protected your PC
The app isn’t signed with a certificate, so Windows SmartScreen may warn the first time. Click More info → Run anyway.
A game I just bought is missing
Press Refresh in the library to check Steam for games you bought since Trophist started.

Play fair
Editing achievements goes against the point of some games. Games with anti-cheat or leaderboards may react to it. You use it at your own risk.
